Central Library

The University Library of the SMKV, Bastar is located in the Acedimic Building is well organized. It has about 18700 books, 129 Journals/ Magazines and 500 Dissertations. The library has good collection of competitive exam books/magazines which is helping for the students to prepare for the competitive exams. At present University Central Library service provide two type of its Users Faculty/Staff and Students, but now we extends its facilities to its users like Guest, so that they can enrich their knowledge and wisdom. Library is provided with WI-FI Internet connectivity extensively used by the library staff and faculty through NKN project. Library also having DELNET membership we can access In India 6750 and Outside in India 22 library. University also Urkund antiplagiarism detection software for better research.

The University Libraries will strengthen their role as an essential partner in research, teaching and scholarly communication. The Libraries will be known for providing access to world-class resources within and beyond their collections, in all formats, and at the point and place of need. The Libraries' physical spaces will encourage reflection, intellectual exploration and academic interaction. Working with others, the Libraries will be an innovative leader for the University community as scholarly communication systems are transformed. An expert, flexible and responsive staff will interact with faculty, staff and students at multiple points in their research, teaching, learning and publishing. As the University community assesses progress toward its strategic goals, it will note that the Libraries have played a major role in promoting excellence in teaching and scholarship, internationalization, interdisciplinary and knowledge in the service of society.

The Library's mission is to provide comprehensive resources and services in support of the research, teaching, and learning needs of the University community. To fulfill this mission, the Library commits to:
